YOU ARE SENT – Day 167

Text: JOHN 1:1-51

Memory Verse: There was a man sent from God, whose name was John (John 1:6)

Message: We are not in this world by chance or by coincidence. We did not even choose or decide to come to this world or come to the family, community or nation where we found ourselves. We are here by divine arrangements or design. We are on a divine mission; just like John, we were sent here by God Himself. We are on a divine errand for God. We have a purpose and we must find out what that is, before it is too late. You do not decide what your purpose is, you have to discover it. When purpose is not known abuse of it is inevitable. The only way not to abuse our lives and destinies is to discover the reason why God sent us to this world, why He sent us to our community, family or even the nation where we were born. We must live everyday with a sense of divine mission or purpose. Martin Luther King Jr once said that anyone who has no purpose for living is not fit to live. You must realize that everyday and every hour of your life count. You are not in this church by accident or coincidence. God positioned you in this church, in your family, community and nation so you can make a difference. Refuse to live a useless, meaningless life and start making marks that cannot be erased.

Wisdom Nugget: Have a sense of mission so you will stop hopping around life like grasshopper.

Prayer Point: Father, I receive the grace to be a giant killer. I receive the grace to live for your purpose in this life in Jesus name.
