YET I WILL REJOICE IN THE LORD – Day 146
Text: HABAKKUK 3:1-19
Memory Verse: Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls; Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation (Habakkuk 3:17,18)
Message: Joy and rejoicing is a choice that we have to make as long as we are in this kingdom and we expect the word of God to work in our lives. We have no option than to walk according to the word of God. It may not agree with our own opinion but the truth is that God has the final say. It is natural for anyone to be happy, rejoice and be joyful when things are working perfectly or things are going the way they planned them. But as far as God is concerned, we do not need to wait for everything to be in place before we can rejoice. The prophet Habakkuk made us to know that his expectations may be shattered and things may not work as he planned or expected, but he said”Yet, I will rejoice in the lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation”. It is a choice that he had to make. We too must purpose never to allow anything or anyone to steal our joy. We need that joy to overcome all the oppositions of the kingdom of darkness in our lives.
Wisdom Nugget: Even when there is nothing to rejoice about, we can always rejoice in the God of our salvation.
Prayer Point: Father, turn every situation of my life into testimony in Jesus name.
