WISDOM FOR A NEW BEGINNING – Day 66
Text: 1 KINGS 3:1-28
Memory Verse: Behold, I have done according to thy words: lo, I have given thee a wise and an understanding heart; so that there was none like thee before thee, neither after thee shall any arise like unto thee (1 Kings 3:12)
Message: Beware of what you pray about because God is still in the business of answering prayers. Beware of the dreams you accommodate in your heart because your dreams will always come to pass. It was at the beginning of Solomon’s reign that he had a dream and God told him to ask for what he wanted and he demonstrated exceptional wisdom by asking for the wisdom of God. In response, God did not only give him a wise and understanding heart that made him become exceptionally great, but God gave him much more than he actually asked of Him. God said in verse 13 “And I have also given thee that which thou hast not asked, both riches, and honour: so that there shall not be any among the kings like unto thee all thy days”. God is moved when we ask Him the right things or when our prayers are not self-centered but kingdom based or kingdom- oriented. Solomon did not ask for money or wealth like many would have asked today. God gave him an open cheque to ask for whatever he wanted but he asked for wisdom to govern the people in the kingdom. God gave him wisdom and gave him much more. The truth is that the moment you possess the wisdom of God, it gives birth to several other things in your life. Wisdom is doing what the word of God says. Purpose in your heart that you will be a doer of His word this year and the sky shall not be your limit in Jesus name.
Wisdom Nugget: You do not need to make noise about your wisdom, wisdom speaks for itself.
Prayer Point: Father, I receive supernatural wisdom of you in Jesus name.
