THOU SHALT MEDITATE THEREIN – Day 85
Text: JOSHUA 1:1-18
Memory Verse: This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success ( Joshua 1:8 )
Message: It is God’s will that we prosper and have good success in this world. If there is good success, I think there must be a bad one. It is bad success when you have money, fame, career fulfillment but you lack peace, joy and you lack the fulfillment that comes only from our relationship with God. As children of God, we are responsible for what becomes of us and what we eventually become in life. We have no one to blame, not even God. I know many believers like to blame God, devil, demonic powers of darkness or even their parents, friends or relations that refused to help them. But as far as God is concerned, He wants everyone of us to be very responsible. Someone rightly said that responsibility is the price of greatness. We cannot make a head way in this kingdom if we refuse to embrace responsibility. God said we shall make our ways prosperous not that He will do it. What are those responsibilities? Meditating in the word of God day and night, that means always. We must also observe to do all that is written therein. We must not also forget that the book must not depart from our mouth, that means we must be committed to declaring the word with our mouth always. When we play our part God will always play His part.
Wisdom Nugget: Meditation in the word is the key to elevation in life.
Prayer Point: Father, I receive the grace to study and meditate in your word in Jesus name.
