THERE IS BLESSING IN THE WORD – Day 89

Text: LUKE 11:1-54

Memory Verse: But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it ( Luke 11:28 )

Message: It is so interesting to know how people get amazed when they hear the word of our Lord Jesus Christ. A certain woman could not hold her peace when she heard the master, she lifted her voice and said “Blessed is the womb that bare thee, and the paps which thou hast sucked”. But Jesus said, rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God and keep it. That word “keep”does not mean mere hearing of the word but giving diligent attention to observe the word. The most important thing that God wants us to do with His word is not just to read, study, memorize, teach or confess it but to do it. The word of God has no spiritual or material benefit to anyone without obedience. It is our obedience that actually commits God to perform His word. Our Lord Jesus Christ said those who obey the word or keep the word are blessed. To be blessed means to be empowered to prosper. That means that those who walk in disobedience are also empowered to fail or be cursed. We can move from curses to blessing by simply obeying the word of God. Any word of God we ignore or neglect is capable of making life difficult or unbearable for us. Paying your tithes or worshipping God with your first fruit cannot fail you, it will only usher you to a new realm of blessing and divine favour. I see God transforming your life and moving you to a new height as you obey His word in Jesus name.

Wisdom Nugget: Those who focus their attention on the word cannot escape God’s blessing.

Prayer Point: Father, I receive supernatural turnaround through the authority of your word in Jesus name.
