THE WISDOM OF GOD – Day 75

Text: LUKE 11:1-54

Memory Verse: Therefore also said the wisdom of God, I will send them prophets and apostles, and some of them they shall slay and persecute (Luke 11:49)

Message: Our Lord Jesus Christ referred to the word of God as the wisdom of God. There is nothing like the wisdom of God outside His word. Walking in wisdom is walking in obedience to the word of God. The Bible said that a man who hears the word of God and doeth them can be likened to a wise man. “Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock” (Matthew 7:24). We cannot be classified as wise if we only hear the word of God and we do nothing about the word that we are hearing. It is not what we know that actually matters, it is what we do with what we know that counts. We live in the day of amazing knowledge. Thank God for the internet and the numerous materials in our world today. Without any gain saying, knowledge has increased as prophesied by the saints of old about this end time but that does not mean that the level of our obedience has increased. Whatever we know is useless if we are not ready to apply them. Knowing what to do and refusal to do it, is like building our house on the sand and that will not stand the test of time. It is very important to be knowledgeable but much more important is the fact that we need to practice the word of God that He has revealed to us. Many people know about tithing, first fruit, forgiveness e.t.c but how many people practice them faithfully?

Wisdom Nugget: Wisdom is not a about what you know but what you do with what you know.
