THE SECRET OF FAVOUR – Day 32

Text: ACTS 2:1-47

Memory Verse: Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved (Acts 2:47)

Message: The place of favour cannot be overemphasized in the life of everyone. There is no one without the need of favour with men and with God. We are all beneficiaries of God’s favour. It is favour that actually determines the quality of our lives. The difference in the quality of lives that people live is often determined by the difference in the favour that they enjoy. Every dramatic change, sudden liftings, unexplainable breakthroughs are all functions of divine favour. Labour without favour is equal to frustration. The summary of all our desires is favour. It is our favour with God that determines favour with men. That is why we must always seek for God’s favour. One day of favour is better than ten years of hard work without favour. It is true that people only become great in this life with favour. We can achieve or accomplish in one day through the favour of God what many cannot achieve all their life time. There are many things to do to position ourselves for the favour of God and one of such things is to follow the example of the Apostles of old by praising God and by giving Him thanks for the favour that we have enjoyed. Worshipping God, appreciating Him and showing gratitude to Him for His loving kindness and tender mercies secure uncommon and unusual favour upon our lives. The Apostles of old enjoyed unimaginable favour as they gathered daily to praise God.

Wisdom Nugget: No one is qualified for more favour if he is not grateful for the favour he has enjoyed.

Prayer Point: Father, help me to remain eternally grateful in Jesus name.
