THE MISERY OF IGNORANCE – Day 82

Text: MATTHEW 22:1-46

Memory Verse: Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God ( Matthew 22:29 )

Message: It is a great disaster, a misfortune, a calamity and great tragedy for a child of God not to know the scriptures. That ignorance will put you at a disadvantage and such a christian will not be able to enjoy his rights and privileges in Christ because he is not even aware of them. We need to study the word of God so as to know those privileges before we can claim them in faith and be a beneficiary of them. We cannot escape walking in error if we do not know the scriptures. There is so much error, false teachings, heretical teachers and fake prophets in our world today. Many believers are now victims of all these false prophecies and teachings. We must learn to stay with the word if we must escape the danger and the enticement of false teachings and prophecies. Furthermore, we cannot experience the true power of God if we do not consciously go for the word of God. We must allow the word of God to settle down in our hearts so we can overcome the deluge of false teachings in our generation. Our tradition, public opinion or self opinion can also put us in serious error if we do not consciously make up our minds to know more of God’s word. We must deliver ourselves from barbaric customs and traditions with the word.

Wisdom Nugget: Ignorance will make people ignore you, knowledge will make you to be acknowledged.

Prayer Point: Father, I receive unusual grace to study your word in Jesus name.
