THE JOY OF THE LORD IS YOUR STRENGTH – Day 138
Text: NEHEMIAH 8:1-18
Memory Verse: Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our LORD: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength (Nehemiah 8:10)
Message: The devil can steal anything from your life once you allow him to steal your joy. Nothing can dry up or die in your life or around you if you refuse to allow your joy to die. It is indeed a fight of faith. The enemy wants to have your joy but you must never allow him because your joy determines your strength. The Bible says if we faint in the day of adversity, our strength is little. Meaning that, we need the strength of God to overcome the adversities of this life, but our joy determines the level of our strength. The word of God determines our joy. Men and women of the word are usually full of joy. They are not usually moved by what moves others. They are only moved by the word of God. Nehemiah prophesied and told the people to eat the fat and drink the sweet as a sign of jubilation and celebration. That does not mean they should make eating of fat and drinking of sweet their lifestyles, but even the Nutritionist told us we can choose to do that once in a while. Never forget that the joy of the Lord is your strength, the more joyful you are, the more strength you have, the more strength you have, the more victory you enjoy.
Wisdom Nugget: The enemy cannot steal anything from you, if you do not allow him to steal your joy.
Prayer Point: Father, I decree that the wicked will not be able to steal my joy in Jesus name.
