THE EXPRESSION OF FAITH – Day 42
Text: ROMANS 4:1-25
Memory Verse: And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah’s womb: he staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God (Romans 4:19,20)
Message: Faith does not concentrate on the physical. Faith is based essentially on the word of God. There are things that show that a man is walking by faith. Those are the things that I call the expressions of faith. One of such is the ability to appreciate God, worship Him, glorify Him and adore Him regardless of the situation or the circumstances that you are going through. Faith does not wait to see the manifestation before giving thanks to God. Faith believes that it has already happened. Our father Abraham did not stagger in faith, he was strong in faith “Giving glory to God”. Abraham did not consider his own age or deadness of Sarah’s womb. He demonstrated the strength of his faith by giving glory to God. You may be going through some situations where ordinarily or humanly speaking, some things are practically impossible. You may be going through some terrible situations, that must not become your excuse for frowning your face or looking disturbed. Faith can make you sing and get you excited in the midst of the storms. You can change the situation by praising God, not by looking discouraged and disappointed. We can be like our father Abraham, we can praise our way out of every predicament. We can make thanksgiving and praise our lifestyle regardless of what we are going through. Wisdom Nugget: Only men and women of faith can praise God effectively.
Prayer Point: Father, help me to walk by faith and not by my sense in Jesus name.
