SEEK YE FIRST THE KINGDOM OF GOD – Day 99

Text: MATTHEW 6:1-34

Memory Verse: But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you (Matthew 6:33)

Message: We serve a God of order and priority. We can only get the attention of God when we give ourselves to the things that are important to Him. We can always have God respond to our needs when we are concerned about the things that concern Him or when we give ourselves to the things that matter to Him. We often miss it when we think that God should give to us first or do the things that concern us first. Without any doubt He has given to us and He has done so much for us without we doing anything for Him. There are so many things we are praying about that are unnecessary. Giving ourselves and our attention to the things of the kingdom will naturally attract the things we are praying for or pursuing day and night. Prayer and fasting can be a waste of time when we do not have any concern for the things of God. But when we are sold out to soul-winning, expansion of God’s kingdom and giving for His work we may not need to sweat or struggle so much in the place of prayers. Often we major on minors or we do not even care to pay attention to the things that matters. God said we should pay attention to His kingdom first and watch Him to deck our lives with His blessing, wisdom and so many things that people are craving for. We must be concerned about soul-winning and the expansion of God’s kingdom.

Wisdom Nugget: Those who seek God’s kingdom first, usually become first in all their endeavors.
