SEEK GOD AND PROSPER – Day 190

Text: 2 CHRONICLES 26:1-23

Memory Verse: And he sought God in the days of Zechariah, who had understanding in the visions of God: and as long as he sought the LORD, God made him to prosper. (2 Chronicles 26:5)

Message: God is not a partial God, whatever He has done for one He can as well do for others, that is why the word of God tells us again and again that He is not a respecter of persons. King Uzziah was very young, just sixteen years old when he became the king of Israel but God distinguished him and he prospered because he took the right step, he sought the Lord. What does that mean? That means, he surrendered his life absolutely to God, he served God, spent quality time in the presence of God always and more importantly, he walked in the instructions of God. We too can prosper like King Uzziah today if we choose to seek God the way he did. David said the young lion do suffer hunger and lack but those who seek God will never lack anything good (Psalms 34:10). God does not want us to live all our lives in pursuit of money but rather in pursuit of Him. We must never allow money to take the place of God in our lives. We must not abandon or neglect the church services because of business engagements or appointments. We must make God our number one priority. When we seek God first and His righteousness, He will ensure that every other thing is added unto us.

Wisdom Nugget: Divine addictions come when we are seriously addicted to God and His kingdom. Those who run after money mourn at the end. Those who run after God have no regrets.

Prayer Point: Father, help me to be addicted to your kingdom. I receive the grace to pursue God with compassion in Jesus name.
