REWARD IS COMING – Day 208

Text: 2 TIMOTHY 4:1-22

Memory Verse: Alexander the coppersmith did me much evil: the Lord reward him according to his works (2 Timothy 4:14)

Message: We serve a God of grace and mercy but He still rewards His people according to their works. We have seen that all over the scriptures. In 1 Corinthians 3:8, Apostle Paul said “Now he that planted and he that watereth are one; and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour.”Our Lord Jesus Christ in Revelation 22:12 says “And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.” 
We cannot continue in wicked deeds, pulling people down and maltreating people because we are in the era of grace. Apostle Paul who commended Onesiphorus and prayed for him for his good deeds also prayed that God would reward Alexander the coppersmith according to his works. Whatever we do is not a waste. There is always a consequence or an aftermath for all that we do and all the choices we make. 
God is ready to reward all our works but we must make up our minds to do the right things. We must learn to use our lives, our talents, divine endowments, resources, opportunities and purity to serve God and humanity as well.

Wisdom Nugget: Men give award that can fade away. God gives rewards that last for eternity.

Prayer Point: Father, help me not to lose my reward in Jesus name.
