REFUSE TO SUFFER IN IGNORANCE – Day 21

Text: JEREMIAH 31:1-40

Memory Verse: In those days they shall say no more, The fathers have eaten a sour grape, and the children’s teeth are set on edge. But every one shall die for his own iniquity: every man that eateth the sour grape, his teeth shall be set on edge (Jeremiah 31:29,30)

Message: Often, people suffer in life because of ignorance. We must always remember this, the devil is usually empowered by our ignorance and carefree attitudes. It is possible to suffer what we are not supposed to suffer when we walk in ignorance. There are people in our world today running from things or people that should be running away from them. Someone narrated the way he got delivered from the fear of the bulldog that used to harass him around his home. The dog will bark with a very loud noise and this guy will be jittering and sometimes urinate in his underwear. But on one fateful day, he was overtaken by fear because there was nowhere to run to. The owner of the dog moved near the dog and opened the mouth and the guy discovered that, the dog was a toothless bulldog. I am glad to let you know that, that is the picture of the devil. It is wrong to keep running helter skelter from the devil. There are people today who erroneously believe that the reason for their predicaments is because of what their fathers and grandfathers had done but the Bible says it shall not be. It is not supposed to be even in the old covenant, let alone in the new covenant.

Wisdom Nugget: Nothing destroys a man like ignorance.

Prayer Prayer: Father, I refuse to remain in any bondage or affliction in Jesus name.
