REFUSE TO BE A SON THAT CAUSES SHAME – Day 217

Text: PROVERBS 10:1-32

Memory Verse: He that gathereth in summer is a wise son: but he that sleepeth in harvest is a son that causeth shame (Proverbs 10:5)

Message: There are different types of sons and daughters. There are children that makes their parents proud and there are some who make their parents to be ashamed. There are sons and daughters who are interested about the progress, success, and the breakthrough of their parents and there are sons and daughters who are only interested in hurting their parents.
God is our spiritual Father, and He wants us to be wise. Wise sons and daughters are the ones that gathers  harvest for God in summer or during harvest but those who seem not to be interested or concerned in the harvest are foolish children. They are the ones that sleep in time of harvest and they are described as the sons and daughters that causes shame. They are not usually concerned with the growth of His kingdom.
God is extremely happy and excited when His sons and daughters win multitudes  of souls to Him and to His kingdom. God detests it when we have nonchalant attitudes towards the lost. There are so many things we need not to bother about when we become effective soul winners. John 15:16 even said that God has ordained us to go and bear fruit and that our fruit must abide so that anything we ask the father in His name, He can do them for us. That means that our prayers must receive God’s attention when we give attention to soul-winning. God will always answer our prayers when we show great concerns for the plight of the lost souls.

Wisdom Nugget: Nothing makes you enjoy God’s attention, affection, and provision like soul-winning.

Prayer Point: I refuse to be a son that causes shame in Jesus name.
