POVERTY DESTROYS – Day 211

Text: PROVERBS 10:1-32

Memory Verse: The rich man’s wealth is his strong city: the destruction of the poor is their poverty (Proverbs 10:15)

Message: Poverty is a destroyer, poverty is not of God. Poverty is one of the aftermaths of the fall of man in the Garden of Eden. That is why God sent His son to die for us on the Cross of Calvary. Christ did not come to this world to deliver us from sin only but also to deliver us from the yoke of poverty. That is why Galatians 3:13 says “Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree.”Verse 14 says, “That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.”
It is an aberration for a believe in Christ to be without or suffer lack. It is an abuse of redemption to be saved and still be struggling with lack or not enough. Because Christ has already died to deliver us .God wants us to enjoy more than enough. We must also never think of getting money by all means but by God’s means. We must go for knowledge and destroy ignorance in our lives. Our ignorance gives the devil the permission to afflict us with poverty. We must follow all that God says so we can be free from poverty.

Wisdom Nugget: The greatest cure of poverty is obedience to the word of God. He knows better than us. His word works at everywhere and everytime.

Prayer Point: Father, I declare that poverty is not my portion in Jesus name. I destroy the back bone of poverty in my life and family through obedience to the law of giving in Jesus name.
