ORDER MY STEPS IN THY WORD – Day 77

Text: PSALM 119:104-176

Memory Verse: Order my steps in thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me (Psalm 119:133)

Message: There are several reasons why God has given us His word and one of those reasons is so that we can be led or be properly guided by His word. Our steps need to be guided or ordered by God according to His word, that is the only way we can live a life of dominion over sin, satan and the flesh. We live in a world that is full of iniquities, contamination and pollution but we can walk free from those pollution as we study the word and apply them to our daily lives. There is no way we can be free from sin or iniquity without proper meditation in the word of God. The Psalmist said in Psalm 119:11 “Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee”. Only the word of God can deliver a man from sin and dirty habits. The farther away you are from the word of God, the more at home sin will be in your life. For us to live a life of purity, holiness or righteousness we must saturate our hearts with the word of God. The conclusion of this matter lies in the words of the Psalmist in Psalm 119:9 he said ‘Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word”. The word of God guides us against sinful and dirty lifestyle. The word of God also guides us into the plan and purpose of God for our lives.

Wisdom Nugget: It is not possible to walk in accordance with the word and derail in life.
