NO MORE WAR – Day 215

Text: 2 CHRONICLES 15:1-19

Memory Verse: And there was no more war unto the five and thirtieth year of the reign of Asa (2 Chronicles 15:19)

Message: We read in our text today of the despicable predicament Israel found itself as a result of incessant wars and attacks from their enemies. Verse 3 of our text says “Now for a long season Israel hath been without the true God, and without a teaching priest, and without law.”There is always a terrible consequence when God’s people are disconnected from learning the word of God regularly or constantly. 
But verse 4 says that they called upon God in their time of trouble, they sought the Lord and “he was found of them.”Verse 5 of our text vividly described the turbulence that surrounded Israel as a result of the attacks of the enemies. “And in those time there was no peace to him that went out, nor to him that came in, but great vexations were upon all the inhabitants of the countries.” (verse 5). 
But after this. Asa the king and the people of Israel decided to seek God and their situation changed. Verse 12 says “And they entered into a covenant to seek the LORD God of their fathers with all their heart and with all their soul. “The aftermath of that covenant was revealed in verse 15 “The Lord gave them rest round about. “Seeking God is not a waste of time. Nothing pays like serving God and His interest on this planet earth. We read in the last verse of our text in verse 19 thus “And there was no more war unto the five and thirtieth year of the reign of Asa. “When you yield your life to God, the struggles and battles of your life supernaturally comes to an end.

Wisdom Nugget: If the devil cannot take you away from the word. He cannot take your peace away.

Prayer Point: I command every war and every battle in my life to cease now, in Jesus name.
