MAINTAIN GOOD WORKS – Day 129

Text: TITUS 3:1-15

Memory Verse: This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men (Titus 3:8)

Message: It is a scriptural truth that we are not saved by the works which we have done. God saved us by His grace and mercy. This was stated clearly in verse 5 of our text today. We were saved by the blood of Jesus which was shed for us on the Cross of Calvary more than two thousand years ago. That blood is still very powerful and very efficacious to deliver anyone from sin today. No one needs to do anything or pay any amount to be saved, our salvation in Christ is absolutely free and it is on the platform of grace. However, the word of God admonished us to maintain good works after our salvation. We were called to work tirelessly with Him in this kingdom. It is not the kingdom of lazy people where we only come to church on Sunday and sit down to hear the word of God. After our salvation, we must be seriously and meaningfully involved in working for God. You do not need to become a pastor, deacon or church official to work for God. We must be seriously involved in winning others to Christ. We must give generously towards outreaches, church building and kingdom expansion. Above all, we must become accountable and very responsible.

Wisdom Nugget: Impact is not about titles and positions; it is all about our relevance.

Prayer Point: Father, I receive the grace to be more involved in your work in these last days in Jesus name.
