LOVE NOT SLEEP – Day 9

Text: PROVERBS 20:1-30

Memory Verse: Love not sleep, lest thou come to poverty; open thine eyes, and thou shalt be satisfied with bread (Proverbs 20:13)

Message: Poverty is a choice, and prosperity is a choice, and not a function of accident, coincidence, or even luck. It is only failures that see the successful as being lucky. Success is not a matter of luck. It is a matter of choice. When you choose to do what makes for success or prosperity you are bound to prosper regardless of the people that hate you and want to stop you. To try to prosper or succeed without following those principles is to keep having daydreams, nightmares, or whatever you choose to call it. Our God is not a partial God. Success and prosperity are not the exclusive rights of some privileged few. God wants every one of us to succeed and do well in life, but we must align ourselves with the perfect counsels of God as enunciated in His Word. We must follow the principles of God’s word and live exactly the way God wants us to live. We cannot live the way we like and have the result that God wants us to have. We must adjust ourselves to His word. We must develop a new mentality. According to our text today we must fight too much sleeping as that can also be an enemy of our success and prosperity. We must do everything to deliver ourselves from too much sleeping.
