LET YOUR LIGHT SO SHINE – Day 186

Text: MATTHEW 5:1-48

Memory Verse: Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. (Matthew 5:14,16)

Message: One of the reasons why God has allowed us to stay in this world after our salvation is so we can make a difference and influence others positively for Him. He wants to increase your spheres of influence in your school, in your office, in the market place and everywhere. We must never allow the devil to push us into a tight corner as if we are not relevant in this age. The gospel is more relevant in this age than any other age in time past. Never allow anybody to make you feel like the word of God is outdated, because it is forever relevant and applicable and it can never become outdated. It has no geographical or age limitation, it is applicable globally no matter the generation. The world is in dire need of what God has freely given unto us and we must act as if we are aware. We must rise up to take our place in this end time, we must shine as the light that God has ordained us to be. The word of God tells us that darkness shall cover the earth and even gross darkness but we must arise and shine because we are the light of the world, not just that our light has come, we must shine intensely and deliberately. We must make a difference in our families, communities, work place, and schools and even in our profession. We must not allow the world to squeeze us to their mold.

Wisdom Nugget: You cannot misrepresent God when you let people know who you represent and what you represent.

Prayer Point: Father, help me not to misrepresent you in this generation in Jesus name.
