IS THE LOVE OF GOD IN YOUR HEART? – Day 20

Text: JOHN 5:1-47

Memory Verse: But I know you, that ye have not the love of God in you (John 5:42)

Message: You cannot love God in your heart and not know. You will not only be sure of it, others around you will also testify that you truly love God. This is because there are many things that show or reveal to us that someone has the love of God in his heart. Those who who truly love God usually love people, because they know that everyone was created in the image of God whether they are believers or not. Those who love God delight in walking according to the instructions of God. They walk in obedience to the word of God. Those who love God will not do anything to displease Him. They align to the perfect will of God for their lives. They also win souls to the kingdom of God with passion. Those who love God naturally love His kingdom and they make themselves available for the work of the Lord. You cannot truly love God and not find something to do in the church or the kingdom of God. You will love to use your gifts, talents and divine endowments for the Lord. Those who sincerely love God forgive people unconditionally. The question now is, do you really love God with all your heart? Jesus told the people in our text today that the love of God was not in their hearts. We may deceive people but we cannot deceive God. He knows all our hearts and He wants us to love Him sincerely.

Wisdom Nugget: Love is no love if others cannot perceive it.

Prayer Point: Father, help me to demonstrate your love to this generation in Jesus name.
