IN EVERYTHING GIVE THANKS – Day 45

Text: 1 THESSALONIANS 5:1-28

Memory Verse: In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you (1 Thessalonians 5:18)

Message: God detests grumbling, murmuring and complaining. The reason is because, we glorify satan whenever we grumble and murmur but we glorify God when we praise or give Him thanks. We are not to wait till everything is okay before we can give God the praise or thanks that is due to Him. God deserves all our praises and thanksgiving at all times. We must not just specialize in praising God in the good times, we must also learn to appreciate Him in the bad times, knowing that the God of the day time is still the same God in the night. Things may not turn out the way you planned them. Sometimes the things you have not imagined may happen. Sometimes we pray but we need to wait patiently for manifestation of the answers. It is not all the time that we receive answers immediately. Even when you think that God has not answered your prayers, you will do yourself a lot of good to forget about what you are going through and praise God with all your heart if you really want your story to change. Sometimes we think God has not answered our prayers when in actual fact, God has already answered us in the realm of the spirit, but it has not come to manifestation. Giving God thanks in everything does not mean that the situation is God’s will for your life, but giving of thanks is actually God’s will for our lives. That problem cannot last if you really make up your mind to appreciate God with your whole life.

Wisdom Nugget: There can be no more room for grumbling and complaining if we choose to praise Him at all times.

Prayer Point: Father, I receive grace to see with the eyes of faith in Jesus name.
