I AM NOT ASHAMED OF THE GOSPEL – Day 112

Text: ROMANS 1:1-32

Memory Verse: For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek (Romans 1:16)

Message: So many believers today actually know they have the responsibility of soul-winning and spreading the gospel to the uttermost part of the earth but their problem is that they feel shy or they are actually ashamed of the gospel. The same Christian who is not ashamed to discuss politics, sports and the economy of the country with his colleagues suddenly began to entertain fear when it comes to sharing the gospel with others. It is either we are not fully persuaded about what we believe, or we have not come to realization of the fact that anyone who refuses to accept Christ are bound to go to hell fire. You cannot be looking at your friend taking poison and you keep quiet in the name of you are feeling shy or you are ashamed. We must join the class of Apostle Paul who boldly declared that he was not ashamed of the gospel because it is the power of God unto salvation. In Verse 14 he even said he is a debtor to the Greek and the barbarians, to the wise and the foolish. We have no option but to preach the gospel.We too must say like Apostle Paul “So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel”. We must be ever ready to win souls to God’s kingdom.

Wisdom Nugget: It is foolishness to be ashamed of Christ who is the way, the truth and the life.

Prayer Point: Father, I refuse to be ashamed of the gospel In Jesus name.
