HELPERS OF YOUR JOY – Day 137

Text: 2 CORINTHIANS 1:1-24

Memory Verse: Not for that we have dominion over your faith, but are helpers of your joy: for by faith ye stand (2 Corinthians 1:24)

Message: There are things that God has put in place to help us maintain our joy, because the joy of the Lord is our strength. Sadness, sorrow, moodiness, looking dejected, despaired and disappointed are not part of God’s gifts for our lives. Whatever is not good is not God. Every good and perfect gift comes from God, the father of light in whom there is no variableness or shadow of turning. God has given us His word so we can have joy; He has also given us His servants as the interpreters of His word. No wonder Apostle Paul by the revelation of the Holy Spirit told the Corinthian church that he was a helper of their joy. We cannot stay with the word and obey the word of God preached to us and still be depressed by the enemies. We can overcome depression, discouragements and all the arrows that the enemies are throwing at us. We must do everything to keep our joy because that will always be the target of the enemies. The wicked cannot stand your joy. Your joy is a threat to the powers of darkness. The devil is sad when we rejoice, but he is happy when we are sad. We must make up our mind never to be caught in sorrow anymore. We have every reason to rejoice and be glad.

Wisdom Nugget: The best way to get rid of the devil is to ignore him by rejoicing and laughing in spite of all his attacks.

Prayer Point: Father, I receive the grace for a contagious joy in Jesus name.
