HEAVEN IS REAL, HELL IS REAL – Day 107

Text: LUKE 16:1-31

Memory Verse: And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; and in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom (Luke 16:22,23)

Message: The message of hell and heaven are not made-up story or theories formulated by men just to scare people or cajole them to repent of their sins and force them to receive Jesus as their Lord and Saviour. Our text today is a very popular one. Theologians and Bible expositors believe that it was not just a mere story or parable because usually, our Lord Jesus Christ does not give names to people in His parables. The story in our text today is therefore a true life story. But the truth is, whether it was a true life story or not, our Lord Jesus Christ taught about heaven and hell and He used that story to enable them have a vivid understanding of the reality of hell and heaven and the need for us to be careful the way we live our lives and the choices we make now. Choosing to receive Christ into our heart automatically makes us a candidate of heaven and refusal to accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour makes us a candidate of hell fire. The truth remains that whether you are rich or poor in this world, we all have appointment with death. But death is not the end of everything; it is actually the beginning of our journey to eternity. Where you spend eternity is your choice, heaven or hell, what is your choice? It is heaven when we have received Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour but hell if we refuse Him.

Wisdom Nugget: Those who think heaven and hell are not real are not actually real to themselves.

Prayer Point: Father, I refuse to be a candidate of hell fire in Jesus name.
