HE SET THE TABLE IN THE WILDERNESS – Day 176

Text: 1 KINGS 19:1-21

Memory Verse: And the angel of the LORD came again the second time, and touched him, and said, Arise and eat; because the journey is too great for thee. (1 Kings 19:7)

Message: Elijah was a man with so many unusual encounters with God; amazingly the Bible says that he was a man of like passion. He was an ordinary man like you and I, but with extraordinary faith in God and God used him for great exploits. We need to understand that God can use us for the same or even do greater things if we truly serve Him and believe Him to do His great works in our lives. No one can really explain the works of God, that is why they are called miracles. Elijah was in the wilderness where he began to entertain suicidal thought as a result of the frustration in his life and ministry, because of the threat of Jezebel the wicked queen. God sent an angel to Elijah to feed him in the wilderness. Elijah woke up and surprisingly he saw a cake baked on the coals and a cruse of water close to his head. What a mighty God we serve. God did not need a gas cooker or stove or any oven to bake His cake. This wonderful God has a plan for your life if you will serve Him sincerely and in truth. He has a plan for you and He will never allow you to be stranded. He will make ways for you where there seems to be no way. All we need to do is to learn to follow His instructions totally and faithfully.

Wisdom Nugget: Nothing destroys lack like following God’s master plan for our lives.

Prayer Point: Father, I receive the grace to walk in obedience. I receive the grace to follow your master plan for my life in Jesus name.
