GOD HAS PLEASURE IN YOUR PROSPERITY – Day 188

Text: PSALMS (35:1-28)

Memory Verse: Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant. (Psalms 35:27)

Message: As children of God we need to know and remember always that God loves us and He desires the best for us. It is not His will that we barely survive or struggle through life. God delights in our prosperity because He is our father, He derives pleasure from our prosperity, just as our prosperity can be the headache of some people. We need to understand that not many people actually want us to prosper. Our prosperity is a threat to the devil and his kingdom. Some of our friends, associates, neighbours, and relatives may not actually have pleasure in our prosperity but God does. God is happy and excited about our prosperity. That also tells us that God is not happy when we are not doing well in life. We must pay attention to the word of God and follow His divine principles so we can prosper according to God’s plan and purpose. It is not God’s will that we suffer lack, but prosperity is not automatic, we must follow the instructions of God’s word to prosper. We must see God as our source. We must delight in His word and above all, we must learn to give to God and be faithful in our walk with Him.

Wisdom Nugget: Prosperity gives pleasure, poverty brings pressure. The choice is yours.
