GOD HAS NOT GIVEN US THE SPIRIT OF FEAR – Day 128

Text: 2 TIMOTHY 1:1-18

Memory Verse: For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7)

Message: Fear is a spirit not just a feeling and we need to get rid of fear because it is not of God. The enemy will always engage fear to keep us at the same level or to paralyse us. It is not possible to fulfill our destiny with the spirit of fear. Fear intimidates, fear threatens and fear paralyses initiatives. Fear makes it difficult for us to break out of our comfort zone. Those who are captured by the spirit of fear always think of the negatives that can happen for every step we take. Fear is an enemy of faith. You cannot have fear and faith at the same time. Fear also operates like faith. Just as faith attracts positive things into our lives, fear also attracts negative things into our lives. Job confessed in his own words that the things he feared came upon him. Fear does not factor God, miracle, answered prayers into the situation; fear makes you feel like a victim, a miserable or even a hopeless person. We cannot become all that God wants us to become with the spirit of fear. It is a weapon in the hands of the devil to limit and hinder us from receiving that which God has in store for us. We must get rid of it with the word of God because fear does not come from God.

Wisdom Nugget: Fear attracts things we are afraid of, when we feed our faith, our fear starves to death.

Prayer Point: Father, I come against every form of fear in my life. I refuse to be afraid in Jesus name.
