FIGHT FOR YOUR MARRIAGE – Day 178

Text: NEHEMIAH 4:1-23

Memory Verse: And I looked, and rose up, and said unto the nobles, and to the rulers, and to the rest of the people, Be not ye afraid of them: remember the LORD, which is great and terrible, and fight for your brethren, your sons, and your daughters, your wives, and your houses. (Nehemiah 4:14)

Message: This year makes it exactly twenty six years that I got married to my sweet heart, my loving and caring wife, Laura, who I can best describe as a quintessential friend, my heart throb and the very ventricle of my heart. I cannot overemphasize her unflinching and indefatigable love and support all these years. I pray that God will give us the grace to witness many more years of bliss together in Jesus name. It has been a very blissful and sweet experience for the past twenty six years; but I must confess that those years were not without their own challenges. But we thank God that the two of us made up our minds a long time ago to fight for our marriage. And God has really helped us in all circumstances. Some years ago I preached on this very topic in a wedding in our church and it was very powerful, many are still ordering for the CD today. It will amaze you how people fight spiritual warfare to get a good job, maintain a good job, have children, have good health, get a visa etc. but surprisingly not many are ready to fight to have blissful or happy home.The devil wants to scatter your home, but you must be ready to fight for your marriage so you can chase the enemy out of your home. And keep Satan where he belongs, under your feet, (Romans 16:20). We are to fight for our marriage, our family and trust God to make it work according to God’s plan and purpose.

Wisdom Nugget: Nothing good comes or lasts without a fight. What you do not resist will remain.

Prayer Point: Father, I receive the grace to fight for my marriage in Jesus name.
