DESIRE SPIRITUAL GIFTS – Day 119

Text: 1 CORINTHIANS 14:1-40

Memory Verse: Follow after charity, and desire spiritual gifts, but rather that ye may prophesy (1 CORINTHIANS 14:1)

Message: As children of God, we must not get so crazy with lustful desires or be ruled and ruined by uncontrollable desires for the things of this world. We must have a holy, godly desire. Apostle Paul admonished us to desire spiritual gifts. It is not enough to be born again, that is very important because it is the starting point but we must not end there. After our salvation, we must seek to be baptized by the Holy Spirit. That is the key to living the supernatural life. You are bound to do exploit for God and with God when you are baptized by the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues. The Holy Spirit helps us to live a holy life and a life of victory over sin. With the Holy Spirit in our lives, we are bound to live a victorious life. The Holy Spirit helps our prayer life and also empowers us to win more souls to God.That is why, we must desire the baptism of the Holy Spirit and even the manifestations of spiritual gifts. This is because, that will automatically enables you to draw more souls to God. All the gifts that God gives were given essentially for us to do exploits for Him in His kingdom especially in the area of soul-winning.

Wisdom Nugget: What you do not desire, you do not deserve. Except only what you respect.

Prayer Point: Father, help me to use all the gifts you have given me to reach out to more souls for you in Jesus name.
