COUNT IT ALL JOY – Day 136
Text: JAMES 1:1-27
Memory Verse: MEMORY My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations (James 1:2)
Message: It is not the will of God that we lose our joy for any reason. No matter what you are going through, you must make up your mind never to lose your joy but rather choose to overcome the situation with your joy. You are not sad because of the way things are, rather, things are the way they are because you choose to lose your joy. Make up your mind never to allow anything to rob you of the joy of the Lord which you have received the moment you gave your life to Christ. It is true that you are confronted with situations or circumstances that seem to be too great or too much for you, but you can never overcome them by remaining sad or sorrowful. There may not be anything joyful about those situations but the word of God says we should count it all joy. The way you see things determines how it turns out. If you count it all joy, it will soon turn to that in reality. There is nothing to be joyful about in trials or temptations but the Bible commanded us to count it all joy because that is the only way to overcome the challenges. We also need to know that the trial of our faith worketh patience in us. When patience is allowed to have its perfect work, it will make us become perfect, entire wanting nothing. Lack can only be permanently destroyed as we choose to rejoice.
Wisdom Nugget: Joy is a choice you have to make. Nothing destroys sorrow and shame like joy.
Prayer Point: Father, I receive the grace to rejoice, I receive the grace to overcome sorrow and sadness in Jesus name.
