CONTROL YOUR TEMPER – Day 8

Text: PROVERBS 25:1-28

Memory: He that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls (Proverbs 25:28)

Message: I wrote my first book about twenty four years ago and I titled it “Obedience: The highway to God’s Best”. The book is still a bestseller and one of the richest books I have ever known on the subject of obedience. I call it a bestseller because of the great demands for the book till date. The place of obedience in the lives of God’s children cannot be overemphasized. Obedience determines the beauty or the colour of our destiny. Nothing destroys people like disobedience in God’s kingdom. The word of God has no value until it is obeyed. It is our obedience that reveals how much we value God’s word. I always tell people that it is not about what we know that matters. It is what we do with what we know that actually matters. We only prosper when we obey God’s Word and fulfill His requirements for prosperity. From our text today, we see the importance of both obedience and prayer. As powerful and effective as prayer is, it can become a mere waste of time if we do not pay attention to the Word of God. Anyone who truly desires answers to their prayers must learn to obey God’s Word.  Anyone who truly desires answers to his/her prayers must learn to obey God’s word. The Bible reveals to us that our prayers can even become an abomination to God when we walk in disobedience.

Wisdom: The more disciplined you are, the more glorious your life becomes.

Prayer: Father help me and give me the grace to control my temper at all times in Jesus name.
