CONFESSION UNTO SALVATION – Day 121
Text: ROMANS 10:1-21
Memory Verse: For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation (Romans 10:10)
Message: Salvation in the Greek language means”Soteria”, which means deliverance, health, safety, and all things that redemption is meant to deliver. The word Salvation therefore is much more than just getting saved from sin, it actually includes that but that is not all. God’s word tells us that with the heart we believe unto righteousness and with the mouth we confess unto salvation. That means that there is no way we can live in righteousness without believing with our heart. On the other hand, there is no way we can enjoy”Soteria”that is, the full salvation without making the right confession with our mouth. Many people only know about the negative side of confession. When they hear of confession, the first thing that comes to their mind is the confession of sin to God and the need to ask for forgiveness as we truly repent of all our mistakes or errors. But confession is not limited to the confession of our sins but the confession of the word of God to enable us to enjoy that which God has prepared for us from the foundation of the earth. The word confession in the Greek word “homologeo”which means saying the same thing that God says or agreeing with what God says. That is, you must refuse to say that you are weak, when God says in His word that you are strong. You must no longer say that you are poor, when God says that you are rich and He said, He will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. We must learn to speak the very word of God over our lives, we must see His salvation in every area of our lives. We can change what we see, if we change what we say.
Wisdom Nugget: Your destiny, your success is in your mouth. A close mouth is a close destiny.
Prayer Point: Father, I receive the grace to say the right word always in Jesus name.
