CHILDREN ARE THE HERITAGE OF THE LORD – Day 196

Text: PSALMS 127:1-5

Memory Verse: Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward. As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth. (Psalms 127:3-4)

Message: Today is Children’s day and we want to seize this great opportunity to rejoice and celebrate with the children worldwide and to wish them and their teachers happy children’s day celebration. Without any gain saying, children are critically important for so many reasons. They are God’s heritage and they are great rewards from God. No one can manufacture a child. Only God can give us children no matter the method we employed and the advancement in technology. Every parent must be extremely grateful to God for giving us these wonderful gifts. Those who are expecting must be rest assured that God can never forget them. They must also believe that God has answered their prayers and He will cause their desired miracles to manifest in His time. God said that children are like arrows in the hands of the mighty. Arrows are meant to hit some specific targets, arrows can be broken, arrows can get lost and arrows can be wasted. We must pray earnestly and passionately for our children so that they will not miss God’s target and so that they will not become wasted arrows but so they can hit God’s target and become a threat to the kingdom of the wicked. As parents we must not fail in our God-given responsibility to guide and train our children in the fear of God. We must not abandon that responsibility for the church or the teachers in their schools.

Wisdom Nugget: Only the children that are properly trained can actually reign in life.
