CHECK YOUR COUNTENANCE – Day 44

Text: 1 SAMUEL 1:1-28

Memory Verse: And she said, Let thine handmaid find grace in thy sight. So the woman went her way, and did eat, and her countenance was no more sad (1 Samuel 1:18)

Message: No one can praise God effectively without putting his or her life and problems in the proper perspective. There is no one here on earth without challenges or problems, but you need to understand that, there are good problems, and there are problems that God allows to push you to your next level; problems are meant to be solved, no problem is meant to last forever. The fact that you are going through any problem today does not mean that you have come to the end of the road. God specializes in making ways where it seems to be no way. Before Hannah went to Shiloh, she was always looking sad and sorrowful. She was no longer eating and her countenance was always sad but when she prayed in Shiloh and Eli prophesied on her, she made up her mind to believe the word. She believed that God had answered her prayers and she started eating and her countenance was no more sad. Until your faith allows you to change your actions and attitudes, you are not in faith at all. Hannah demonstrated her faith with positive actions and delivered herself from barrenness. Do not allow what you are going through to rob you of your joy. The joy of the Lord is your strength. You do not need to put your joy on hold, you can keep rejoicing no matter the challenges of your life. Keep celebrating where you are on the way to where you are going. Believe that God has answered you already and you have every reason to praise Him.

Wisdom Nugget: Your ability to praise God in times of trouble, difficulties and challenges reveals the depth of your faith.

Prayer Point: Father, I decree that nothing will make me to lose my joy. I receive grace to rejoice always in Jesus name.
