BE STRONG IN THE LORD – Day 134
Text: EPHESIANS 6:1-24
Memory Verse: Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might (Ephesians 6:10)
Message: No child of God should be weak or feeble because we have all it takes to be strong in the Lord. We can be strong in the lord, that is why Apostle Paul admonished the church in Ephesus to be strong in the Lord because it is possible to be strong in the Lord and the power of His might. There are Christians today who celebrate the fact that they are weak spiritually, that self or personal indictment is unnecessary because we have all it takes to be strong in the Lord. From what we have read today, we can only become strong in the Lord and the power of His might as we put on the whole armour of God. Until we do that we shall remain feeble, fickle, weak, timid and unable to do that which God expects us to do. We can only stand against the wiles of the devil when we become strong. It is not the will of God that we run helter skelter for the enemy, but we will not have any choice if we refuse to be strong in the Lord. Our lack of strength gives opportunity to the enemy because we do not wrestle against flesh and blood but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world. We need to take the whole armour of God, so we will not become a victim but remain the victor that God has destined us to be. A strong Christian must be prayerful, passionate about soul-winning, dogged about promoting the kingdom of God.
Wisdom Nugget: No one becomes strong without proper nurture and nourishments. The stronger you are in Him the more exploits you do for Him.
Prayer Point: Father, strengthen me to do greater exploits for you in Jesus name.
