WAIT FOR THE LORD – Day 132
Text: MICAH 7:1-20
Memory Verse: Therefore I will look unto the LORD; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me (Micah 7:7)
Message: How much of God we know determines our convictions about Him. Our convictions of God also determine what we say about Him. Micah was a prophet of God who truly understood God and walked with Him. He said he would look unto the lord and wait for the God of his salvation and he was very sure that God would hear him. We must learn to wait on God and look up to Him at all times no matter our condition, situation or circumstances. Waiting for the Lord is not a waste of time at all. You cannot wait on God and be wasted by the enemies. We must learn to be like Micah, we must look unto God and not to men or to ourselves. The temptation is always there whenever any need arises in our lives. The temptation is for us to look unto men for help or solution but we must learn to look up to God. David said in Psalm 121:1, 2 that he would “Look up unto the hills, from whence cometh my help, my help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth”. We must also learn to wait for Him, meaning we must not be in haste and we must not lose our patience. We must wait for God’s appointed time. Looking unto men will always lead to disappointments and frustrations. Only those who look up to God and wait on Him will not be put to shame.
Wisdom Nugget: You cannot look up to God and be stranded or confused in life.
Prayer Point: Father I receive the grace to wait on you in Jesus name.
