DO NOT WITHHOLD THE CORN – Day 125

Text: PROVERBS 11:1-31

Memory Verse: The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself. He that withholdeth corn, the people shall curse him: but blessing shall be upon the head of him that selleth it (Proverbs 11:25,26)

Message: The word of God is crystal clear and unequivocal on the subject of liberality. As children of God, liberality or generosity must also become our identity. There is nothing like Christianity without liberality. We are saved today because our Lord Jesus Christ offered Himself for us and died for us on the Cross of Calvary. Giving or generosity must become our lifestyles as believers. Only the liberal soul shall be made fat. That tells us that those who are liberal can never go unrewarded. God blesses us when we are passionate about Him and we are ready to give to Him generously. Liberality is all about our willingness to share whatever God has given to us; be it joy, peace, excitement, money or material things. God wants us to be concerned about others. If you are saved, look for people who are not yet saved and keep sharing the gospel with them until they are saved. You have the joy from the Lord; spread it to several others who are sorrowful or depressed. Do not withhold the corn that God has given to you. You cannot be selfish and live a fulfilled life.

Wisdom Nugget: Selfishness and fulfillment are diametrically opposed. You cannot be selfish and live fulfilled at the same time.

Prayer Point: Father, I receive the grace to live a life of generosity in Jesus name.
