DOING GREATER WORKS – Day 101
Text: JOHN 14:1-31
Memory Verse: Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father (John 14:12)
Message: The believer is the true representative of God or Christ in this world. We are not saved so we can just sing, clap and dance. God saved us so we can do great works for Him or even greater works than our Lord Jesus Christ did. Acts 10:38 told us “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with Him”. Just as Jesus went about doing good, we also must do the same thing. We must go about doing good, we must go about to deliver the oppressed, win souls to the kingdom of God and see people getting out of the kingdom of darkness to the kingdom of light. No believer is supposed to sit down, fold arms or become lazy and slothful in the kingdom of God. We have so much to do for God and we must wake up to our responsibilities now before it is too late. He saved us so we can be useful in His kingdom. The devil wants us to live a useless and meaningless life, but God wants our lives to be meaningful and impactful and we must never rest until that becomes the testimony of our lives. We are loaded because we are needed. God wants us to make a difference.
Wisdom Nugget: No one lives an impactful life without a sense of mission.
Prayer Point: Father, anoint me today to do greater works in your kingdom in Jesus name.
