THE REWARD OF OBEDIENCE – Day 86

Text: PSALM 19:1-14

Memory Verse: Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward (Psalm 19:11)

Message: No one can exhaust all that God has to deliver when we stay with His word. The devil will do everything to keep us away from God’s word but we too must learn to do everything to stay with the word of God. The enemy keeps us away from the blessing and favour of God. We receive warnings, corrections and instructions from the word of God. When we study the word of God it helps us to adjust and re-adjust our lives. God expects us to align ourselves to His word always. Our memory verse today says that in keeping of the word of God there is great reward. Please note that it is not just reward but great reward. There is great reward in studying the word, memorizing the word, confessing the word and especially doing or practicing the word. That is what the text means by “keeping them”. It is not “keeping”as in saving something but ensuring that we do the word or make it our lifestyles. We cannot derive the benefit of the word or taste the reward it carries if we do not make up our minds to be obedient to the word of God. We can experience supernatural turnaround and have amazing testimonies when we choose to obey the word of God. The word was given to add value to our lives.

Wisdom Nugget: Obedience pays higher than any organisation. Obeying the word is working with God.

Prayer Point: Father, I receive the grace to walk in obedience at all times all the days of my life in Jesus name.
