FIRE IN YOUR MOUTH – Day 74

Text: JEREMIAH 5:1-31

Memory Verse: Wherefore thus saith the LORD God of hosts, Because ye speak this word, behold, I will make my words in thy mouth fire, and this people wood, and it shall devour them (Jeremiah 5:14)

Message: No child of God is supposed to live a defeated or a frustrated life because God has given us all it takes to walk in victory. We have a lot of weapons that God has revealed to us in His word. Even His word that is sharper than any two edged sword is an unparalleled weapon in itself and it guarantees our victory in life. Apostle Paul talking about the weapons of our warfare referred to the word of God as the sword of the spirit with which we can overcome all the wiles of the enemies. The word of God is light when it is stored in us. It is also a light that shatters all our darkness in life. With the light of God’s word, we can avoid every form of mistakes and bad decisions. Although the word of God is light in us, it becomes fire when we decide to speak it with our mouth especially against the enemies and all the forces opposing our destinies. God said, He will make His word in our mouth fire and He will cause the word in our mouth to consume them. It is ignorance that makes children of God to be afraid of the enemies or even satan. We have all it takes to consume the forces that are rising up against us. We are not supposed to run helter skelter for the wicked; they are supposed to be running away from us. We have the word of God in us; it becomes fire when we release them with our mouth.

Wisdom Nugget: The word of God contains enough fire to deal with the enemies of our destinies.

Prayer Point: Father, purify me by the fire of your word in Jesus name.
