SWEETER THAN HONEY – Day 73

Text: PSALMS 119:1-176

Memory Verse: How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth (Psalms 119:103)

Message: The Psalmist made us to realize what the word of God meant to him and so was Jeremiah, Job and all the saints of old. But the question now is, how is the word of God to you? Do you see the word of God as mere words or an ordinary book or like some people think as mere words of men. There are people who hardly listen to the word of God or messages preached in the church because they erroneously assume that men of God simply utter what they think or what others have told them. A man once brought his wife to me after the service because what I preached about was what they argued at home before they came for that sunday service and the wife thought that, the husband had discussed with me before the service. Every true man of God will tell you that, they preach as they are moved of the Holy Spirit. We were also told that men of old that wrote the Bible did not do that out of their own self will but as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. How do you see the word of God? David said it was sweeter than honey. Do you think the word is superior to your opinion? Do you really love the word of God? Do you have time for the word of God? Do you study it? Do you remember that word? Above all, have you made up your mind to practice the word of God that you read and hear on the pulpit?

Wisdom Nugget: The word of God is the treasure bank of the Most High.

Prayer Point: Father, I receive the grace to study your word and be the doer of it in Jesus name.
