ACCESS TO HIGH PLACES – Day 59

Text: HABAKKUK 3:1-19

Memory Verse: Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls: Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation. The LORD God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds’ feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places. To the chief singer on my stringed instruments (Habakkuk 3:17-19)

Message: We cannot praise God or give thanks as we ought if we do not learn to deliberately despise our situations or circumstances. We must learn to look down on our problems and challenges. We must not focus on what we are going through or what the enemy is doing. We must learn to concentrate on the positive not on the negative. There may be bad news or negative news flying around the world but there are also positive ones. The end time signs are not about negative things alone, there are positive signs as well. Just like the Bible says that the last days are perilous days, the Bible also says that in the last days God will pour out His spirit upon all flesh. It is better to concentrate on the positive than the negative. If you have a bad dream or nightmare you call it, go back to your bed and sleep again and begin to see the positive to cancel the negatives that you have seen. The prophet Habakkuk said he was not going to be moved even if things didn’t turn out the way he planned. He said, despite of all the vicissitudes of life yet, he will rejoice in the lord. And as a result of his joy and praises, God will cause him to ride upon his high places. You cannot be found in low places, if you do not allow the enemy to make you sad.

Wisdom Nugget: The high places of this world are reserved exclusively for worshippers and thanks givers.

Prayer Point: Father, I refuse to be found in low places. I receive grace to lift you higher in Jesus name.
