THE LIFESTYLE OF PRAISE – Day 47

Text: PSALMS 34:1-22

Memory Verse: I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth (Psalms 34:1)

Message: Nothing produces maximally without consistency. Prayer is very powerful not when we pray once in a while but when we pray consistently. Giving is also very powerful when we do it consistently. We must learn to be consistent and persistent in whatever we do. Only those who are consistent can reap the maximum benefits of all they do in this life. In the same vein, praise and thanksgiving cannot produce maximally without our willingness to make thanksgiving and praise our lifestyle. We must not only give thanks to God once in a while, we must make it our habits. The psalmist is a typical example of someone who have made praise and thanksgiving his lifestyle. In Psalms 119:164 David said “Seven times a day do I praise thee because of thy righteous judgments”. This is not a casual approach at all. Something that you do seven times a day is beyond a casual approach. In Psalms 119:62 he said, “At midnight I will rise to give thanks unto thee because of thy righteous judgments”. The night time is a time when we usually rest because of tiredness, but anyone who wish to matter in his generation must learn to make good use of the night time. As if that was not enough, David also said in Psalms 35:28 thus; “And my tongue shall speak of thy righteousness and of thy praise all the day long”. In our MEMORY today he said he will bless the Lord at all times. That is someone who have made praise and thanksgiving his lifestyle.

Wisdom Nugget: The power of praise cannot produce maximally if we only do it once in a while.

Prayer Point: Father, help me to cultivate the lifestyle of praise in Jesus name.
