SHOWING GRATITUDE TO PEOPLE – Day 46

Text: ROMANS 16:1-27

Memory Verse: Greet Priscilla and Aquila my helpers in Christ Jesus: who have for my life laid down their own necks: unto whom not only I give thanks, but also all the churches of the Gentiles (Romans 16: 3 & 4)

Message: Our text today gives us a catalogue of men and women that can be best described as partners or members of Apostle Paul’s team in his missionary works. God used Apostle Paul tremendously in his time so much that, he said he was the least of all the Apostles but eventually became the greatest because of the grace of God that was made available unto him. I believe that grace was what connected him to so many people with a good heart and willingness to work for God. Someone rightly said that when God is ready to help a man, He will simply connect him or her with good people by His favour. There is no better way to favour a man than to surround him with faithful men and women. That was how, Apostle Paul was connected to many people. God surrounded him with faithful men and women who were passionate about serving God and helping the man of God to fulfill his ministry. Such people understand that whatever they do for the man of God, they are simply doing it for the Lord. They also understand that God will reward them abundantly for all their good works. They do not envy the man of God, they are never jealous and they do nothing for the reward of men. No one can discourage them or poison their hearts against the servant of God. To such people, Apostle Paul gave thanks with all his hearts. Such were Priscilla and Aquila who risked everything and laid down their necks for the sake of Apostle Paul and for the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Wisdom Nugget: The more faithful men and women available, the stronger the church becomes.

Prayer Point: Father, give us more faithful men and women and help me to be more faithful in Jesus name.
