THE ENEMY SAID – Day 41
Text: EXODUS 15:1-27
Memory Verse: The enemy said, I will pursue, I will overtake, I will divide the spoil; my lust shall be satisfied upon them; I will draw my sword, my hand shall destroy them (Exodus 15:9)
Message: Our text today is the song of Moses which he sang about the victory that God gave to them when they left the land of bondage, the land of Egypt. Our God is a man of war and He specializes in paralysing the powers of the wicked over our lives. The enemy does not have the final say over our lives. We must never allow the enemy (the devil (to have the final say over our lives because our God is a man of war. He demonstrated that against pharaoh when the people of God wanted to cross the Red Sea. Moses said “And with the blast of thy nostrils the waters were gathered together, the floods stood upright as an heap, and the depths were congealed in the heart of the sea” (Exodus 15:8). He also told us what the enemies said. The enemies said they would pursue, overtake, divide the spoil and satisfy their lust upon God’s people. The enemy said he would draw his sword and his hand will destroy them. The enemy that confronted Moses and the people of Israel was pharaoh but in our own case we do not wrestle with flesh and blood but against principalities and powers. Although the devil has human agents but those agents are not our focus. Once we overcome the one that employed them, our victory over other forces is guaranteed. Thank God, we have overcome all the forces of darkness in Christ. It is not that our enemies are not saying some things but their words can never come to pass because God is on our side. That is why we must praise God and give Him thanks, because He is the reason why the counsels of the wicked cannot come to pass in our lives. God is on our side, those who want to destroy us can only destroy themselves.
Wisdom Nugget: You need not to bother yourself about what the enemies are saying, if you pay attention to what God is saying.
Prayer Point: Father, I receive grace to pay attention to your word, let the counsels of the wicked be neutralized in my life in Jesus name
