THE GRACE TO GIVE – Day 25
Text: 2 CORINTHIANS 8:1-24
Memory Verse: Therefore, as ye abound in every thing, in faith, and utterance, and knowledge, and in all diligence, and in your love to us, see that ye abound in this grace also (2 Corinthians 8:7)
Message: We need to understand that grace is not just unmerited favour but also an empowerment from God. We can receive grace to do all that we need to do and become all that we need to become. The grace of God is available to equip us to do that which we could not do in our natural self. That is why we have no reason to give excuses or complain about our weaknesses and disabilities. The grace of God is available to enable us to pray more than we have ever thought or imagined. We can also receive grace to win more souls to God’s kingdom. The grace is also available to give to God generously. All our excuses in the kingdom are not tenable nor legitimate before God, because He has given us the grace to accomplish that which we are still complaining and lamenting about. Apostle Paul talked of the grace to give that was upon the Macedonian church despite the fact that they were going through a lot of challenges and difficulties. The best way to know a giver is what he does or how he gives even in time of difficulties and challenges. Without the grace to give, we will become selfish, self centered, covetous and greedy. It is the grace to give that releases the grace to prosper.
Wisdom Nugget: Those who refuse to maximize the grace of God will always complain about giving. The more you complain the less you obtain.
Prayer Point: Father, give me the grace to become one of the best givers in this generation in Jesus name.
