THE LORD PRESERVETH THE FAITHFUL – Day 13
Text: PSALMS 31:1-24,
Memory Verse: O love the LORD, all ye his saints: for the LORD preserveth the faithful, and plentifully rewardeth the proud doer (Psalms 31:23)
Message: We live in a very wicked world, full of insecurity and all manners of evil works and evil men and women. But thank God we are divinely protected and preserved in Christ. We must not be afraid of the situation and the circumstances of our Nation or that of the environment where we live. We must never allow the boasting and the bragging of the wicked to put fear in our hearts. We must understand the fact that God is with us as a mighty terrible one. All that God requires from us were itemised in the MEMORY thus; First, the word of God admonished us to love the Lord. God loves us and He wants us to simply reciprocate by loving Him in return. Secondly, we were told that God will preserve the faithfuls and reward the proud doer. We can therefore conclude that God wants us to love Him, He also wants us to be faithful to Him and He wants us to be humble or get rid of our pride. Everyone desires protection or preservation from God and God is willing to preserve us for His name sake because we are His children. We must not only desire His preservation, we must stand by His word and believe that He will surely preserve us.
Wisdom Nugget: Loving God and serving Him makes you become untouchable for the wicked.
Prayer Point: Father, I receive the grace to love you better everyday in Jesus name.
