GIVERS NEVER LACK – Day 12
Text: LUKE 6:1-49
Memory Verse: Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again (Luke 6:38)
Message: So many people have a problem with the subject of giving in our world today because they do not really understand the power of giving. There are people who erroneously assume that all the pastors are looking for is to siphon their money and impoverish them. Some are perpetually afraid that they may lose all their money and become poor at the end of the day. Some are simply covetous, selfish and greedy. They cannot trust anyone, not even God with their money. We need to realize that there is nothing we have that we have not received from God. We are who we are, where we are and what we are by the grace of God. We must be able to trust the same God that gave us all that we have with our giving. The principle of God as stated in His word in summary is that, we cannot lack whatever we give. We can only lack what we try to keep. That is why our memory verse today says that we should give and it shall be given to us. The measure we give will determine the measure we shall also receive. When we develop a giving lifestyle, we place ourselves at an advantage over others that are not giving. When you are stingy, you place yourself at a disadvantage. Giving is living; the more we give, the more we receive.
Wisdom Nugget: Giving is living. The more we give, the better our lives become.
Prayer Point: Father, I receive the grace to overcome every form of stinginess in my life in Jesus name.
